CD+G Compatible Karaoke Disc Burners


There was a time when only a select few CD burners could read and write karaoke CD+G discs. With the latest generation of karaoke software this is no longer the case. Today, "most" CD/DVD burners can be used. I say most because there are still some being sold that not CD+G compatible with any software.

This is where we run into a problem because very few burners mention that they support CD+G in their specifications. So this leaves you no choice but to search through the specifications of burners until you find one that mentions CD+G support or you can contact the various manufacturers to inquire about their drive's capabilities. This is exactly what we have done for you.

The burners below are reported to be CD+G compatible. Some of them are older models and available as pre-used. The internal drives may be the IDE type and you would need an IDE to SATA adapter to install them in most modern desktop computers. I would recommend that you opt for an external USB type of drive that you can use with any desktop or laptop.

We have not personally tested all of these drives to assure that they are CD+G compatible. That information was found in the specifications of the manufacturers. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that these drives will read and write CD+G discs.
