- How long will it take to receive my software after a purchase?
- All the software on this website is available as a download. Within a few minutes of making a purchase you will receive an email message that contains the unlock code and instructions on how to turn the demo version into the full unlimited version. It is very important that you enter the correct email address when ordering. Also, you should check your email spam folder if the message does not arrive to the inbox.
- Can I have a purchased program sent to me on a CD?
- Some programs are available on CD while others are not. You are always free to burn the setup program and registration information to a CD-R for future installations.
- What do I need to make duplicate copies of CDG discs?
- Power CD+G Burner 2 makes it very easy to make exact duplicate copies of karaoke CDG discs. The process is to copy the contents of a CDG disc to the computer's hard drive and then burn those contents to a blank CD-R. Works with most modern disc burners.
- Are special blank discs required to copy or burn CDG discs?
- Standard CD-R media is used to burn CDG discs. High quality media will usually result in more successful burns and better longevity.
- How do I create a custom compilation CDG disc?
- Power CD+G Burner 2 makes it very easy to create custom CDG discs. The process is to rip specific songs from various CDG discs to the computer's hard drive and then burn those songs to a blank CD-R. Works with most modern disc burners.
- Must I have a CD+G compatible burner?
- For ripping or copying a CDG disc, or creating a custom compilation CDG disc, Power CD+G Burner 2 will work with "most" modern burners. To play CDG discs on your computer you will need a burner that is capable of reading CDG subchannel data.
- How can I tell if my burner is able to burn CDG discs?
- The easiest and quickest way is to download and install a demo copy of Power CD+G Burner to test it out.
- What are MP3+G files?
- MP3+G files are compressed versions of karaoke CD+G disc song tracks much like MP3 files are compressed versions of standard audio tracks. Each MP3+G song consists of two files, one .mp3 and one .cdg. which are often "zipped" together into a single .zip file to make them easier to manage. This is the default format supported by virtually all software karaoke players and hosting applications.
- How do I convert the songs on my CDG discs to MP3+G files?
- Power CD+G Burner 2 software you can easily "rip" the song tracks from CDG disc to MP3+G files. If done while connected to the internet the song files can be automatically named utilizing FreeDB internet database. This program works with "most" modern burners.
- Can I play MP3+G files with my karaoke machine?
- Very few karaoke disc players will play MP3+G files from a disc. Some of the newer machines will play MP3+G files from SD cards and/or USB devices.
- Can video files be converted to MP3+G?
- Video files cannot be converted to MP3+G although the reverse is possible.
- What is the difference between karaoke player and karaoke hosting software?
- Typical karaoke player software is designed for the casual home user and has features like key change and playlist creation. Karaoke hosting software is designed for hosting karaoke shows. It will have features like song database creation, song search, singer rotation, singer history, venue history, key change, remote monitor support, filler music, next singer display, sound effects, etc..
- How do I copy the songs from SCDG (Super CDG) discs to my computer?
- With SCDG Ripper and your computer's DVD drive you can rip the songs from SCDG discs to your computer in the MP3+G file format. The MP3+G files can be played with most player and hosting software or used to create CDG discs with a program like Power CD+G Burner 2.
- How do I display only the karaoke to the singers?
- Karaoke hosting software has a remote monitor feature. This utilizes the extended desktop feature of a laptop to display the workstation on the laptop and only the karaoke to the singers on a separate monitor or TV.
